Both DNA and RNA are made up of repeated units called nucleotides.
A nucleotide is made up of:
Both DNA and RNA contain the bases called Adenine (A), Guanine (G), Cytosine (C), but the difference is that DNA contains the base Thymine (T) while RNA contains the base Uracil (U).
A nucleotide is made up of:
- a phosphate
- a sugar
- a base

Base pair rule

When DNA replicates, bases can only bond in a certain way.
A and T always bond together.
C and G always bond together.
A and T always bond together.
C and G always bond together.
