This works independently of light and occurs in the stroma.
Firstly, CO2 is captured from the air and gets fixed to another molecule by an enzyme called RUBISCO.
Hydrogen is dropped off by NADPH2.
Through a series of reactions, carbohydrates (glucose) are formed and converted into starch.
